The Red Project 25 is about the rebuild of the former Cranmer Bridge Club.

It is a Category 1 Heritage building in Central Christchurch.

Building with Heritage is not easy. There are rules!

We are adding a modern home and studio to the site.That didn’t cheer up the Heritage people much.

This idea was the beginning of our problems.

Actually they started with an earthquake ….. a really big one.

We fell in love with the mystery behind the door

Our building in Lyttelton came down, so we needed a new home and the Cranmer Bridge Club came on the market.

We bought the site in August 2012. Three years, two architects, three engineers, two QS’s, two resource consents, and three neighbour’s approvals later we are on the verge of applying for a building consent.
